LPG-3 - Liquefied Petroleum Gas Analyzer

Chromatogram of Mixed C4's Sample from CIC's LPG-3 analyzer

Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) has a variety of uses ranging from chemical feedstock to simple fuel source for heating and like most light hydrocarbon mixtures, it's price is based on it's composition. Therefore accurate analysis is necessary for determination of the LPG's selling value. The chromatogram above was obtained from a mixed C4's sample using our LPG-3 analyzer. The chromatogram below was from a sample of high purity propane LPG.

The LPG-3 can be supplied with a vaporizing inlet system employing a gas-sampling valve, or with a liquid sampling valve (or both). The analytical reproducibility with the two different injection techniques is excellent. Both of the analyses shown here were obtained by using pre-injection vaporization and subsequent injection with a gas-sampling valve. LSV injection yields the same results (with similar reproducibility) on these samples.
